Exposed Reinforcing Steel

Reinforcing steel which is too close to the surface of the pool, will in time corrode (oxidize) and expand. The expansion will crack the concrete and lift the inner pool coating: pebble finishes, exposed aggregate, liners and tiles. Unless repaired the affected area will continue to "run" and spread along the steel. The corrosion will be rustic brown in colour. Salt water pools are particularly susceptible.

Rod Cameron Pools are experts at these repairs.

Effected areas are cleaned back to bare concrete and steel.

The whole pool surface is thoroughly cleaned, the affected area is repaired and binding agents are applied before application of the new marble finish.
